Training · Food · Progress

Train, eat and track in one place.

Match Rivals gives you a structured training plan, a food diary that knows UK foods and high-street menus, and progress charts that show whether it is working — without juggling three different apps.

Workout and food tracking are free. Pro adds extra coaching and analysis when you want it.

Made for your real week

Everything your routine needs, connected.

Your plan sets the session and the calorie target. Your logs show what actually happened. Your progress tells you what to change next.

01Train

Every session planned. Every set remembered.

Open the app and today's workout is waiting, with last time's numbers beside every set so you know what to beat.

  • A weekly schedule that shifts when life gets in the way
  • Quick set entry, exercise swaps and built-in warm-ups
  • A rest timer that keeps running when you lock your phone
  • Exercise guides with movement demos and muscle maps

02Eat

Log food the way you actually eat.

Breakfast at home, a meal deal at lunch, a takeaway on Friday. Match Rivals is built for a normal British week, not a perfect one.

  • Scan barcodes or search UK supermarket foods
  • Pick dishes from high-street restaurant and coffee-shop menus
  • Save meals, repeat regular days and cook from your own recipes
  • Water, fibre and per-meal budgets alongside your macros

03Plan

Targets that follow your training.

Eat a little more on the days you lift and a little less on the days you rest, with a weekly total that keeps you on course.

  • Separate training-day and rest-day calorie targets
  • Lock protein and let carbs and fats rebalance around it
  • A recalculation check that looks at weight, food and strength trends
  • An end-of-block review to extend, repeat or switch your programme

04Progress

See what is working — and what has stalled.

Progress is more than the number on the scale. Follow strength, body weight and measurements together and spot a plateau before it costs you a month.

  • Estimated one-rep-max trends for every lift
  • Plateau detection with practical next steps
  • Body weight, measurements and progress photos
  • A printable progress report for you or your coach

The small things

Built around how you already live.

  • Stone and pounds by default

Weigh in the way you think about your weight. Switch body weight to kg or lbs and gym weights to kg or lbs separately.

  • High-street menus built in

Log lunch from chains such as Greggs, Costa, Subway and Five Guys without guessing what is in it.

  • Health Connect and Apple Health

Bring steps, weight, heart rate and sleep in from the watch or scale you already use.

  • Works without signal

Your diary and workouts live on your phone first, so a basement gym never stops a session.

  • Missed a day? Shift the week

Reschedule a session and the rest of the week moves with it instead of leaving gaps.

  • Your data, exportable

Export your history as CSV or JSON, or print a progress report to share with a coach.

What is Match Rivals?
Match Rivals is a fitness app that keeps your training plan, workout log, food diary and progress charts in one place. Your programme sets each session and your calorie targets, your logs record what actually happened, and your progress shows whether it is working.
Is Match Rivals free?
Yes. Workout tracking, programmes, the food diary and progress charts are free to use. Match Rivals Pro is an optional subscription that adds extra coaching and analysis tools. Current Pro pricing is on the pricing page and is confirmed in the app before you subscribe.
What platforms is Match Rivals available on?
Match Rivals is built for Android and iPhone. Store links appear on this site as each version is released. Your data is stored on your phone first and backed up to your account, so it can follow you to a new device.
Does Match Rivals work without signal?
Yes. Workouts and food logs are saved on your phone first, so you can log a session in a gym with no signal. Changes back up to your account when you are online again.
Can I use stone and pounds?
Yes. Body weight defaults to stone and pounds, and you can switch body weight and gym weights between kg and lbs independently in settings.
How is Match Rivals different from other fitness apps?
Most apps do one job well — a workout log or a calorie counter. Match Rivals connects them, so training-day and rest-day calorie targets follow your programme, and strength, body weight and food trends sit side by side when you review your progress.
